Welcome to Alex Poulton
We are delighted to announce another new addition to our teaching staff – in September we will welcome Alex Poulton as one of our new singing and piano teachers.
Alex is a seasoned singing teacher and experienced musician. Many of Alex’s students have progressed to study at music colleges, secured Oxbridge scholarships, and several have embarked on professional singing careers. Alex is a Junior Fellow at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and he brings a wealth of experience, having toured globally with opera companies such as Columbia Artists and Grange Park Opera. His extensive background includes performing the Schubert Song Cycles at The Exeter Literary Festival, Oratorio, and his own opera compositions. Alex works with choirs and vocal ensembles and has a relaxed and encouraging approach, working with related performance matters such as nerves, confidence and building vocal esteem. His role as a qualified music therapist adds a unique dimension to his teaching.
